Tues-Sat, 8pm to 4:30amLAST OPENING AVAILABLE!!!Position OverviewSupports the Clinical Supervisor on the floor by providing clinical consults and care/peer consults for front line staff, actively managing staff productivity, providing on-the-job training for staff, and continuous monitoring of staff performance for quality assurance. As needed, will run the floor operations in the absence of a Clinical Supervisor. Providing successful operation of the call center on the assigned shift, including all functions of a clinical floor supervisor. Functions in a crisis counselor role as needed.Essential Duties
- Provide telephonic crisis intervention services, assessment, and referral when in the role of crisis counselor:
- Using counseling techniques like motivations interviewing, active engagement, collaborative problem solving and good contact, clinicians help callers in crisis identify and resolve personal, social, and interpersonal concerns.
- Factoring in the caller’s circumstances, history, support, internal and external resources and clinical presentation, clinicians make referrals and or link the caller to the appropriate service or information.
- Depending on the acuity of the situation, linkage and referral can range from information only, to active rescue and dispatch of EMS and law enforcement
- Adhere to established standards and guidelines for efficiency and productivity.
- In the absence of Clinical Supervisor, Lead Crisis Counselor will act in the role of a clinical supervisor as it applies to floor operations. Which includes managing a combined team of crisis counselors, care supporters, and peer supporters that are on shift
- Complete the utilization management process of reviewing eligibility for state contracted beds and approving as appropriate.
- Support Training efforts by listening to Trainee calls as requested by GCAL Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Manager and providing on-the-job training.
- Assisting Quality efforts by completing quality reviews for crisis counselors, care supporters, and peer supporters as needed.
- Running productivity reports as requested by Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Manager.
- Maintain job knowledge, current licensure in the state of Georgia and adherence to the professional Code of Ethics.
- Additional duties as assigned.

RequirementsExperience, Skills and Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in Behavioral Healthcare is preferred.
- Board licensure required.
- Work experience in a behavioral healthcare setting and telephone triage experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DSM IV diagnosis, inpatient psychiatric treatment protocols, brief therapy and chemical intervention protocols and skills, medical models, and psychotropic medications a plus.
- Familiarity with full range of treatment options and mental health service delivery systems.
– Bi-lingual preferredEducation & Credentials
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health discipline with a valid license to practice in the state of Georgia as a LPC, LCSW or LMFT.
Work Location & Schedule RequirementsThis is a fully remote position, that will not require daily reporting to an office. You may be required to attend occasional in-person meetings depending on business needs. While it is our intent to provide a consistent schedule, you may at times be required to work hours that vary and that exceed the number of hours in your normal workweek.
