Maitri Multi-Media Day is devoted to incorporating a variety of art forms, methods, and mediums to encourage increased communication, coping, and expression skills, to build independence and a sense of community through individualized and group creative projects within the program itself and within the community. We utilize a variety of software & hardware tools including Ableton Live, Ableton Push, Splice, iMovie, Cricut, Distrokid, and much more to help our participants realize their creative goals. Maitri Multi Media also features a variety of game based approaches including dedicated spaces for Dungeons & Dragons and Retro gaming.Day Program Direct Support Professionals supervise as well as encourage participants to engage in the provided activities on base and in the community. We strive to maintain a safe environment for our participants, their peers, ourselves, and the community at large.**More Maitri, Inc. will provide the Colorado state required training for the position listed including: QMAP (Medication Administration), CPR/First Aid, and CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)**** This position requires transporting clients, so you must have a valid drivers license and a working & registered vehicle. We do reimburse for mileage!ADVANTAGES TO WORKING FOR MORE MAITRI, INC.:Access to Technologies such as Ableton Live, Cricut, Distrokid, Masterclass and much more.We provide all training and certifications.Guidance from administration, directors, managers and staff.A great place to develop your creativity.You get to do fun things!JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily documentation and trackingSupervising and observing participants at all times to ensure their safety and to make sure they are not exhibiting harmful behavior to self or othersTeaching problem solving, conflict resolution and life skillsTransportation of participants into the community, to and from day programWork with participants on projects with an understanding of each consumer’s pace and developmental needs and the positive outcomes it will provideLearn and use participants’ historical information, behavior plans, and reoccurring trends as a tool to help their progress in achieving their goalsFacilitate group discussions and document engagementBe creative, come up with new projects, ideas, tasks, etc. to engage in with participantsTake the lead, but allow room for your participants to direct their creative processREQUIREMENTS:HS diploma or GED.Experience working in Mental Health preferredValid Driver’s LicenseDependable vehicle with current car insuranceCompassion plus an ability to set limits and follow throughDemonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, listen carefully, interpret accurately & respond to a high volume of requestsKnowledge and sensitivity to cultural differencesExcellent written and oral communication skillsInitiative and flexibilityStrong project/time management & organizational skills; detail orientedSupportive, kind, caring and willing to ensure environment is respectful and honestAbility to lift 50lbsJob Type: Part-timePay: $19.00 per hourExpected hours: 25 – 28 per weekBenefits:
