Compensation: $55,000-$70,000Application Deadline: 3/1 or until filledJob SummaryThe Graduate School of Counseling (GSC) and Transpersonal Contemplative Art-Based Counseling concentration seeks a full-time core faculty position beginning July 1, 2025. This position is in the Transpersonal Contemplative Art-Based Counseling (TCAC) concentration with responsibilities to teach art therapy and professional counseling related courses. Three years of clinical experience as an art therapist, demonstrated ability to teach across the graduate art therapy curriculum outlined by the American Art Therapy Association, two years of required teaching experience a demonstrated capacity to conduct research or creative works is essential.In addition to research and creative works, teaching art therapy specific courses, applicants would be able to teach in some of the following areas: group dynamics and leadership, counseling and helping relationships, professional counseling orientation and ethical practice, social and cultural foundations, assessment, research methods, career counseling, or diagnostic and treatment planning, field placement supervision. The position includes administrative duties for the concentration, GSC, and the university, including but not limited to recruitment and admissions for TCAC, student review and feedback, networking within the field of art therapy, assessment, and active engagement in the TCAC concentration.
Qualified applicants must demonstrate consistent success in negotiating the pedagogical, clinical, research, administrative, and collaborative responsibilities of a faculty appointment within the degree program, within the Graduate School of Counseling and within the structure of the university at large.
