Description: Job Description:Detailed Job Description: (Please be specific with all job duties required by the hiredcandidate.)DCF is looking for a motivated Systems Architect III that will provide innovative solutions within adiverse Enterprise environment with multiple, cloud services and on-premises infrastructurecomponents. The candidate will have expert level troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyzecurrent technologies used within our organization and determine ways to improve performanceand provide stability to backend services. A high-level of soft skills in collaborating withInformation Technology professionals within the organization to ensure the proper infrastructurecomponents are designed, delivered, managed, available, working as designed for projects oroperations, and that best practices and organizational IT policies are being followed.The Systems Architect III will provide leadership and subject matter expertise in theadministration, maintenance and support of numerous backend systems that support the agenciesapplication development, design, security, integration and desktop infrastructure. They will haveresponsibilities in directing and managing the workload of team members and managing the oncall support functions for the operations team.The individual will work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure technicalcomponents are available for projects and working properly. Document and monitor requirementsneeded to institute proposed updates or new services. They will be well versed in projecting forpossible challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope changes to theproject. They will work closely with the supervisor and project teams to successfully monitor theprogress of initiatives, provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, and define cleargoals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution. They will have the ability todirect a small team in completing tasks, improving on operational support or maintenance, anddocument processes as needed.This position will be a technical lead for our backend infrastructure services. These services orsystems include areas within the Microsoft Services arena including but not limited to ActiveDirectory (AD) services including ADFS, Group Policy, Distributed File Services, Azuresubscriptions, DHCP, and networking protocols and services. This person will be responsible forthird (3rd ) level technical support functions for the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI),monitoring tools, multi-factor authentication, storage and backup, Power Shell scripting, andnumerous customized off the shelf applications that have been implemented at DCF. A high-levelunderstanding of networking protocols and network connectivity will be required.List any special qualifications & years of experience: (List any specific skills, software, orrequirements the position will require. The technical lead will have experience analyzing new and current technologies used within an organization (VMWare and VDI) with the ability to document and recommend solutions to improve on performance, stability, and cost savings to the agency. (10+ years)2. The qualified candidate will have experience leading a project team as a technical expert in system implementation, working with project managers and leadership to set project goals, identifying subject matter experts, providing technical best practices to help in decision making, and the lead technical support for different projects and systems. (10+ years)3. The candidate will have expert level system administration skills for Microsoft Windows servers, Active Directory Administration, and other MS core services like Group Policy, DFS, DHCP, DNS, to manage, monitor, and support our Agency Managed Application Servers. (10+ years)4. The candidate will be well versed in the creation, support, and maintenance of certificates for our agency core systems, 3rd party integrations, and other authentication or authorization service needs.
