Description: Requisition No: 850332Agency: Department of HealthWorking Title: OPS GOVERNMENT ANALYST I – 64858409Pay Plan: TempPosition Number: 64858409Salary: Hourly rate: $19.00 – $32.00Posting Closing Date: 04/09/2025Total Compensation EstimatorInternal Agency OpportunityApplicants accepted only from Department of Health employees, (includes OPS, Career Service, SES or SMS employees).Applicants will not be accepted from outside of the department.Your Specific Responsibilities:This position assists with the completion of programmatic activities related to the Office of Minority Health (OMH) programs including, but not limited, to sickle cell disease-related programs, legislative mandated-programs and programs providing technical assistance to county health departments.This position is responsible for assisting in the development of program portals, databases, analysis tools, and dashboards for program monitoring and reporting.This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing program data; developing data products and reports to communicate findings to leadership; conducting statistical analyses; creating process measures and analyzing survey and health system data to support programs; developing evaluation plans; identifying data sources and success measures; providing data-driven recommendations to support continuous program improvement; and providing technical assistance to programs.This position assists in preparing program budgets, monitoring reports on program expenditures, and other documentation required to facilitate program funding.This position is responsible for assisting in the programmatic review of contract deliverables and developing program plans, timelines, and reports related to sickle cell disease programs.This position is responsible for maintaining program information for legislative annual and ad-hoc reports requested by Department of Health leadership.Assists with contract review as a subject matter expert and the development of contract Attachment I documents; supports the development of Requests for Applications (RFAs) and procurement documentation.This position’s responsibilities include assisting in developing and updating Legislative Implementation Plans, preparing progress reports and presentations, and compiling data for legislative budget requests and long-range program plans. This position also supports data requests for legislative implementation plans, bill analyses, and reports; collaborates in legislative planning, activities, and assignments; and helps ensure the timely completion of mandated reports, responses to legislative inquiries, and other assignments related to bills assigned to the Office of Minority Health.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of advanced statistical and mathematical analysis methods.Knowledge of advanced methods for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data in dashboards, as well as interpreting data in logical formats, both in text and graphic form, for state reports and presentations.Knowledge of data visualization methods, including mapping.Knowledge of Excel’s advanced statistical analysis applications, databases, and dashboard development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to analysis reports and daily activities.Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution. This includes strategic planning, and resource allocation.Ability to provide recommendations, solve problems, document workflows, and perform other activities related to program improvement.Ability to analyze program and project performance indicators for accuracy and conduct fact-finding research.Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques, understand and apply relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to analysis reports and program activities, and plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.Qualifications:Minimum:
