Description: STARC Systems/ VP of Human Resources/ Brunswick, MaineSTARC Systems, a globally recognized leader in industrial temporary modular wall systems, is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join their team working in Brunswick, Maine!Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources, will be a key executive, leading and developing the organization’s people strategies, ensuring compliance, and driving talent management to support business objectives.The Vice President of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organizations HR operations and will lead a team that drives Human Resources programs and best practices, including employee engagement and satisfaction, identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals, performance management, employee relations, compensation analysis and competitive benefit programs. Requirements of the VP of HR:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field. HR Certification preferred.
- 15+ years of human resource management experience required, with strategic oversight, talent management, organizational development, as well as all key functional areas such as recruiting, employee relations, compensation, and benefits
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience leading a small HR team
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, compliance and employment laws
- Knowledge and experience with various HRIS platforms. Paylocity a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Responsibilities of the VP of HR:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive Human Resources strategy that integrates and closely aligns with the business strategy
- Advise senior management on HR-related matters and contribute to long-term planning.
- Engage and influence senior management to support and implement HR initiatives across the organization.
- Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Lead talent acquisition, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Develop and implement employee development programs and initiatives.
- Oversee performance management systems and provide feedback to managers.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Responsible for investigating, monitoring, and resolving complex employee situations from origin to conclusion while minimizing organizational risk
- Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Manage the HR department’s budget and resources effectively.
- Oversee HR technology and systems.
- Ensure that all HR policies and procedures, benefits and safety are compliant with laws and regulations
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Build and develop HR team by providing feedback, coaching and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
