CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE TALLAHASSEE OFFICE.This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.Regular business hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday – Friday.NOTE: As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.The Work You Will Do:The Grant Manager positions provide program oversight and technical assistance to local governments, private non-profits, Community Program Managers, and department staff for the programs operated in the Bureau of Economic Self- Sufficiency (BESS).The Difference You Will Make:The LIHEAP, CSBG, and WAP programs are federally funded programs that helps income-qualified households with a multitude of assistance services ranging from utility bill assistance, self-sufficiency programs, to energy efficient housing repairs. The Bureau of Economic Self-Sufficiency administers four programs and allocates funding directly to a network of community action agencies, non-profit organizations, and local governments which are known as local agency providers, located throughout the state of Florida.Grant Manager Duties and Responsibilities:Position #1 – Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): The position is responsible for providing contract management for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This includes processing payments, advance payment requests, and preparing reports relevant to the WAP program administered within the BESS. Serves as a backup, as needed, for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).Position #2 – Community Services Block Grant (CSBG): The position is responsible for providing contract management for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This includes processing payments, advance payment requests, and preparing reports relevant to the WAP program administered within the BESS. Serves as a backup, as needed, for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).Position #3 – Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP): The position is responsible for providing contract management for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This includes processing payments, advance payment requests, and preparing reports relevant to the WAP program administered within the BESS. Serves as a backup, as needed, for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Working with local provider agencies, which include local governments, and non-profit organizations; providing assistance and training for the optimum performance of administrative and other field duties associated with all programs administered through BESS.
