Job Summary:The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) provides personal care and related services in the home under the direction, instruction, and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed healthcare professional. The CHHA helps patients maintain their independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and comfort at home.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, meal preparation, and dishwashing.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) as instructed.
- Assist with range of motion exercises and prescribed therapy activities.
- Observe and report changes in the patient’s condition to the supervising nurse.
- Follow the patient care plan as directed by nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in CA.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 2years of experience in home care or a similar setting preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel required).
- CPR certification may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stretching, kneeling, and standing.
- Capable of assisting clients with mobility and physical transfers.
This is a remote position.
Salary: $35000 per year
