Position Highlights The James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona is accepting applications for a Fellow. Fellowship is designed for a current law student, or other similarly qualified candidate, to serve in an apprenticeship capacity under the supervision of a Law Professor in the BA in Law/MLS/MPS and IPLP human rights clinical programs. The Fellow will research and prepare materials for and teach skills workshops to BA in Law, MLS, MPS and Law Clinical students. Serve as lead Teaching Fellow and mentor other course Teaching Fellows. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research, prepare materials and reports, develop case studies and teach skills and clinical legal practice workshops designed for BA in Law/MLS/MPS and IPLP human rights clinical programs
  • Collaborate with faculty and/or other Law Fellows to formulate program strategies and goals and develop core program components for skills workshops and IPLP human rights clinical programs
  • Provide academic assistance: manage course D2L sites and post course content; record student attendance
  • Maintain and revise reading materials
  • Manage quizzes and exams
  • Proctor exams
  • Grade student papers
  • Give feedback to students
  • Meet with students one-on-one
  • Hold weekly office hours and be available upon appointment to respond to student or program needs
  • Assist Professor teaching live lectures
  • Lead or participate in lectures, review sessions, or discussion groups

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues, alumni, other constituents and the public
  • Demonstrably strong writing, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required
  • 1 year of relevant work experience is required
