Description: F99538 Assistant Professor of Art – TahlequahDescription for the Assistant Professor of Art:Northeastern State University is seeking applicants for a tenure track, Assistant Professor of Art to teach in an established and growing art program.The ideal candidate will have an MFA, will be a generalist with knowledge and expertise to teach in a variety of courses, ranging from ceramics and sculpture to possibly art history. This position will focus primarily on classes in 3D Art. All applicants should be proficient in theories and fundamentals of art, be ready to contribute to an active studio, and be well-equipped to teach at all levels of the BFA, from basic to advanced courses.Applicants should submit a portfolio that demonstrates their own art and the effectiveness of their teaching through student samples. In the cover letter, please address the connection between your work as an artist and your work as an educator/teacher of art.While this position will be based on the Tahlequah campus, teaching responsibilities may extend to other NSU campuses as needed.Annual salary $54,860.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
