Description: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Associate with at least 15 years of experience in matrimonial and family law to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in handling high-stakes divorce and custody cases involving substantial assets, business valuations, trust interests, and complex financial portfolios.
This is a leadership-track opportunity for an attorney who thrives on complex litigation, has a client-first mindset, and demonstrates the ability to mentor junior associates while handling a sophisticated caseload independently.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload of high-net-worth matrimonial matters from intake through resolution, including litigation and settlement negotiations.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, financial affidavits, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, setting realistic expectations while advocating for their best interests.
  • Strategize with clients and partners on high-asset divorce cases involving real estate, business interests, and executive compensation.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior associates and support staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law statutes, case law, and best practices.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and the growth of the firm’s high-net-worth client base.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school; active license in good standing in [insert jurisdiction].
  • 15+ years of experience practicing matrimonial or family law, with significant experience representing high-net-worth clients.
  • Substantial courtroom and litigation experience, particularly in cases involving complex financial issues.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional discretion and emotional intelligence in working with clients under stress.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a commitment to mentoring.
