As Government Grants Manager, you’ll lead the charge in managing and growing our portfolio of city, state, and federal grants, ensuring we maintain strong relationships with government partners and maximize every opportunity to expand our impact.What You’ll DoAs Government Grants Manager, you’ll oversee the full life cycle of government grants, from identifying opportunities and developing budgets to managing compliance and tracking performance. This role sits at the intersection of finance, development, and programs, offering a unique opportunity to shape how public funding supports mission-critical work.Key responsibilities include:Cultivating and maintaining relationships with government funders and agency contacts.Leading the strategic planning, proposal development, and submission process for government grant opportunities.Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal contract requirements, including vouchers, budgets, and financial reporting.Supporting audits and monitoring visits and leading efforts related to DCFS licensing and government site reviews.Preparing and tracking grant budgets totaling over $3M annually, managing projections and adjustments.Collaborating cross-departmentally to align grant activities with organizational goals and services.Maintaining documentation, systems, and tracking tools to ensure transparency and accuracy across all government grant operations.Supporting the annual financial audit and managing restricted revenue reporting.What We’re Looking ForYou’re someone who thrives on managing complexity, communicating across teams, and building long-term relationships with public agencies.
