This position engages in specialized legal work in adjudicating hearings on appeals of Get Covered Illinois’ determinations of Illinois residents’ eligibility for enrollment in qualified health plans or related insurance affordability programs; adjudicating difficult and extensive hearings at the Department involving violations of insurance and other laws, including disciplinary actions against insurers and other licensees; conducting other hearings and preparing written reports; and conducting extensive and complex research in the determination of facts, statutory interpretations, and various legal matters.
