Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) is seeking an Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Designer to join our ICT Team. This position is also open to a remote working situation. The Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Designer will have or develop a solid understanding of client business practices and goals to:

  • Apply an in-depth knowledge of ICT Infrastructure types and uses to perform complex and unique. assignments including design and construction administration of ICT infrastructure projects.
  • Have expertise in ICT design for:
  • Structured Cabling Systems,
  • Campus / Wide Area Networks (WAN),
  • Passive Optical Networks (PON),
  • Power panel and circuit Identification,
  • Coordinating ICT power requirements,
  • ISP and OSP infrastructure knowledge,
  • Site and building ICT asset inventory and ESRI Field maps GIS system general mapping systems knowledge.
  • Perform specific and/or limited ICT Design duties as part of a team of expert Consultants.
  • Flexibility with regards to working schedule surges, travel, and supporting multiple projects/designers
  • Work on detailed and/or routine design assignments.
  • Familiarity with ICT and Network hardware (can distinguish a rack from a cabinet; a network switch from an FDU and a Category 6 patch panel etc.)
  • Propose solutions to solve new and/or complex problems encountered.
  • Be proficient in various software products, including but not limited to:
  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • Visio Professional
  • Bluebeam Extreme (Revu)
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Adobe InDesign or similar software package knowledge is a plus
  • Other ICT Specific Programs
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with and/or proficient in various Codes Standards and regulations including but not limited to:
  • IEEE – C2 Standard (National Electrical Safety Code)
  • OSHA – 1910 Standards
  • TIA – Cabling Standards
  • TIA – Data Center Standards
  • BICSI – TDMM and other Manuals

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Candidate must hold current (ā€œSā€ minimum) security clearance or have clean background capable obtaining said clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience with ICT infrastructure
  • Professional experience and/or proficiency in various software products, including but not limited to, Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other ICT Specific Programs.
  • Professional experience and/or proficiency in various Codes Standards and regulations including but not limited to Permitting, State & Local Ordinances, IEEE – C2 Standard (National Electrical Safety Code), OSHA – 1910 Standards, TIA – Cabling Standards, TIA – Data Center Standards and BICSI – TDMM and other Manuals.
  • Willingness/Desire to pursue ICT certifications (i.e. RCDD, OSP, etc.).
  • Willingness/Desire to pursue PE path.

Salary: $75000 – 125000 per year
