Description: Job Title : LTS Special Education Teacher – Multiple Disabilities Support-Elementary (entire 2025-2026 School Year)Primary Location : STARKWEATHER ELEMSalary Range : Per YearShift Type : Teacher – Long Term Sub AssignmentJob Details:The West Chester Area School District has a Special Education teaching position available at the elementary level (certification requirement – appropriate valid PA certification):1.0 – LTS Special Education Teacher – Multiple Disabilities Support- Starkweather Elementary School (entire 2025-2026 School Year)To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree with appropriate valid PA certification
• Ability to implement a holistic instruction and assessment system based upon state academic standards
• Proficiency in the use of instructional technology to enhance student learning
• Ability to design an instructional program intended to address racial achievement gap
• Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts
