In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions that ensure high-quality, reliable data for analytics and reporting.This is a multi-year consulting engagement focused on building and optimizing enterprise data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and reporting environments. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, database administrators, and reporting teams to deliver efficient and scalable data solutions that drive informed decision-making.This position is ideal for a highly technical professional with deep SQL expertise, strong ETL development skills, and a passion for creating streamlined data workflows in a large, complex environment.Key Responsibilities

  • ETL Design & Development: Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and related technologies to support enterprise data warehouse operations.
  • Data Warehouse Management: Contribute to the design and optimization of data warehouse structures, ensuring scalability and data integrity.
  • Performance Optimization: Collaborate with DBA and reporting teams to tune queries, optimize ETL jobs, and improve data processing efficiency.
  • Cloud Data Integration: Support data platform initiatives using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and Azure Pipelines.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor ETL workflows, proactively resolve job failures, and maintain reliable data delivery.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Reporting Support: Provide integration support for BI environments such as Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Documentation: Develop detailed documentation for ETL processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to ETL architecture and processes for scalability and automation.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting ETL processes and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Proven experience with SQL Server technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) for integration, reporting, and analytics.
  • Strong expertise in T-SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and views.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Pipelines, Azure IaaS/PaaS).
  • Familiarity with Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.

Technical Competencies:

  • Skilled in ETL workflow orchestration, optimization, and error-handling strategies.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, schema design, and relational database principles.
  • Experience maintaining and monitoring ETL job schedules to ensure timely data delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with query performance tuning and database optimization.
  • Certifications in relevant database or data engineering technologies are preferred.
