Description: We are in need of a new attorney to join a client-centered family law firm. We do expect a certain number of billable hours per month, but we also believe in work-life balance, and being a team player is a must.You are licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have a minimum of 5 years of legal and trial experience, 3 of those devoted to family law. A plus if you’ve practiced in Wake and surrounding counties. Strong advocacy and trial skills, and experience with mediation are a must. Good working knowledge of local family court rules, drafting skills, and ability to interact and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and their staff.We provide competitive compensation, health insurance, and a 401(k) firm match contribution.Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all aspects of family law, including negotiation and or litigation, as needed
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to effectively resolve files through negotiation or the litigation process
• Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding the clients’ wishes, and creating a strategic plan of action
• Create legal documents such as agreements, pleadings, and orders for a high volume of cases
• Ability to interact and communicate with clients, opposing counsels, and their staff
• Expectation of 1,600 billable hours annually

Qualifications:

• NC Licensed Attorney
• At least 5 years of legal and trial experience, and 3 of those devoted to family law
• Knowledge of local family court rules and procedures
