To educate and prepare each student to succeed in a changing world.Job Description:We want YOU here!Our Child Nutrition staff play an integral part in serving our mission to continuously improve meals and services to meet nutritional requirements, provide a variety of menu items, and give the healthiest choices with the freshest ingredients available.Get in on the scoop:REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION LEVEL:High school diplomaPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Refer to physical demand summary. Post-offer drug screening and physical (funded by the District) required prior to starting position.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Vocational training desirable in chef’s training or any associate degree program in a related field. Valid South Dakota driver’s license. Ability to lift 50 pounds.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

• Prepares cooked foods such as main dishes, vegetables, sauces and gravies.

• Keeps production records for preparation and serving of all food used.

• Washes all small equipment after completion of task and in accordance with South Dakota sanitation and health guidelines.

• Adjusts recipes for varying quantities.

• Keeps work area clean with guidelines of South Dakota sanitation health regulations.

• Stores leftover food according to proper storage and safety procedures.

• Evaluates menu items for product standards.

• Follows safety procedures in the use of all equipment.

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
