Description: Job Description:New employees are expected to attend New Teacher Orientation, which is tentatively scheduled for on August 14th & 15th, and the week of staff professional development beginning August 18th. The first day of school for students is August 25, 2025.We are searching for a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher with a concentration in teaching and supporting the writing process. This would include instruction in prewriting, drafting, revising, editing and publishing various types of writing genres such as narrative, informational and argumentative. In addition, this position would also support students developing proficiency in writing responses that are supported by text dependent analysis.Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Reading, or related field

• Appropriate Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification

• Familiarity with Pennsylvania Core Standards

• Understanding and commitment to inclusive learning

• Knowledge of current literacy research and evidence-based instructional practices

• Experience with reading and writing assessment tools and data analysis

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

• Strong research, planning, and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to positively interact with students to encourage literacy development and foster a love of reading and writing

• Experience with MS Office, Google Docs, and educational technology platforms
