Description: Essential Functions: A full-time (1.0 FTE) 6th grade teacher to teach our Falcon Foundations course at Faribault Middle School. The grade-wide class fosters students’ academic and personal growth as they transition from the elementary setting to a secondary model. This role focuses on developing essential organizational, study, and social skills. The ideal candidate will create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students use interactive and engaging activities to learn to manage their time, set goals, collaborate effectively, and think critically. This position will commence with the 2025-2026 school year.Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Implement the provided curriculum focused on organization and study skills, future planning and goal setting, and developing engaged students. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including direct instruction, group work, project-based learning, and technology integration. Establish and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and collaboration. Knowledge of AVID strategies is a plus. Support and follow School Board policies and procedures.
