Description: To provide for overall leadership and coordination among the various activities and to facilitate programs that provides youngsters with worthwhile learning experiences.ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Schedule, oversee and coordinate all activities and activity policies established by the district, building principal and district activity coordinator.
  • Communicate information that promotes the activity program to the community, patrons, faculty, students, administration and news media.
  • Build positive relationships with the student body.
  • Conduct the evaluation process and procedures for governing the smooth running of all activity events.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures for governing the smooth running of all activity programs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the financial gate receipts and dispersement for all activity programs.
  • Schedule and coordinate the use of all the activity facilities.
  • Administer and coordinate all the activity events including travel, facility preparation and game management.
  • Assist coaches in dealing with parent concerns and problems.
  • Perform other such duties as the building principal and/or District Coordinator of Activities may direct.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Idaho teacher certification.
  • Previous experience as a coach is desirable.
  • Ability to develop activity schedules.
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication skills and the ability to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of the overall operation of a school wide activities program.
  • Must have a valid Idaho Drivers License and a vehicle to drive and/or they must provide their own transportation for job related activities.
  • The job related travel during the day will be reimbursed at the approved state mileage reimbursement rate.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern verbal conversation and to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person;
  • Sufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to comprehend written work and assessments, prepare and review documents, and organize documents and materials;
  • Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm motions and to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Sufficient personal mobility, flexibility, and balance, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to work in an office environment, lifting or moving objects that weigh up to 20 lbs.;
  • Job tasks require, with or without reasonable accommodation, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping;
  • Must have a valid Idaho Driver’s License and a vehicle to drive and/or must provide own transportation for job related activities.
