GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Oswego School District 308 is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to serve elementary students with disabilities. This educator will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate physical education instruction that is tailored to meet individual student needs, supports IEP goals, and promotes motor development, fitness, and lifelong physical activity.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct APE instruction in individual, small group, or integrated settings

Collaborate with PE teachers to ensure students have access to meaningful and inclusive physical education experiencesDevelop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and objectives related to physical education and motor developmentParticipate in IEP meetings, providing data and recommendationsConduct motor assessments and assist with eligibility determinations for APE servicesMaintain accurate documentation and progress monitoringPartner with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
