Description: Job Description:POSITION: Anticipated Culinary Paraprofessional (2025-2026 School Year)32.5 hrs/wkBUILDING: Carlisle High SchoolPOSITION SUMMARY:Provides instructional support to career and technical education students in the Culinary Arts Program under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:-Manages a school-based bakery under the direction of the culinary teacher.-Assists the culinary teacher in the operations of the Courtyard Café.-Assists the culinary teacher in working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce content and skills.-Assists the culinary teacher in implementing and maintaining classroom and culinary lab discipline as directed.-Assists with the culinary arts program needs as requested: shopping, stocking, ordering, record keeping, and catering.-Assists in keeping the culinary arts lab clean, hygienic and organized.-Assists in organizing and preparation of classroom and culinary lab materials as needed.-Acts as a role model to students.-Agrees to work before or after the regular school day, as needed, to assist with community events.Preferred Education and Experience:-Associates Degree in the Culinary Arts, or appropriate training in Bakery/Pastry Arts-Appropriate industry experience in Bakery/Pastry ArtsPreferred Certifications:-Serv Safe-Food Handling and Safety Certification, recommended but not necessaryREQUIREMENTS: Act 24 Arrest/Conviction Certification; Act 34 Criminal Clearance; Act 151 Child Line Clearance; Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting Security Clearances; Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release and SafeSchools TrainingAVAILABLE: 2025-2026 School YearCONTACT: Mrs. Michelle SarokonHR Coordinator540 W.
