Motorola Solutions is one of the world’s largest producers of in-car video systems, body-worn cameras, license plate reading technology and fixed surveillance video and access control.Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the following areas:Strategic Vision Casting – Within the parameters of the corporate strategy, the incumbent must utilize strong leadership and communication skills to cast a clear vision to execute the strategy.Lead Change – Provide an environment where changes in market focus, product performance, and customer requirements are communicated and acted uponDrive Results – Establish an environment of ownership while understanding the business goals for the territory and the individual contributors for achieving those goalsGrow Sales – Business is high growth, as a Service (SaaS) business with continued increase in Recurring Software Revenue.The Government Video Area Sales Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Responsible for leading a sales team within designated region, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for existing and new customersAlign the sales team to the Motorola Solutions’ territory and key work partners to enhance sales & executionEstablishing a collaborative, energetic and exciting working environment as the leader of the regionHolding sales team accountable for achieving/exceeding the Committed View (CV)Setting go-to-market strategies both with direct and indirect selling resourcesDevelop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the existing customer baseSupporting sales team in negotiating large contractsResolving complex customer service and satisfaction issuesHelp drive product decisions to support our customers existing and future needsDevelop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire “target” accountActively participate in customer engagement (50% travel)Engages at the executive levelAttract into the organization and develop a diverse pool of future leadersSpecific Knowledge/Skills:Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experienceOR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience1+ years of leadership experience preferredA track record of making or exceeding assigned sales goalsKnowledge and experience with CRM systems, specifically Saleforce.comExperience with Miller-Heiman sales methodologyExperience selling video and/ or software solutionsHighly motivated and results-orientedExcellent negotiation skillsThis position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.#LI-MM1Basic RequirementsBachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experienceOR 8+ years of sales/public safety experienceMust be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customerTravel Requirements Over 50%Relocation Provided NonePosition Type ExperiencedReferral Payment Plan YesOur U.S. Benefits include:
