Description: The Locust Valley Central School District is looking for a (2025-2026 School Year) Art Teacher to join our team in providing a safe, nurturing and challenging classroom environment devoted to helping all students reach their full potential.REQUIREMENTS:

• NYS Certification Art (K-12)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The teacher is responsible for the well-being and safety of the students, taking attendance, maintaining a functioning classroom, utilizing classroom management skills, leaving a clean classroom, and teaching the provided curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans and assignments to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Providing developmentally appropriate instruction on art techniques.
• Supervising lessons to ensure respectful interaction among learners.
• Collaborating with other teachers.
• Setting learning objectives.
• Inspiring creativity and self-expression among students.
• Teaching various art forms and techniques.
• Maintaining art records and portfolios of students.

START:September 2, 2025SALARY:According to the LVSEA Teachers Contract
