Description: Job SummaryImmacolata Catholic School, a vibrant parish school in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a creative, faith-filled, and dedicated Art Teacher to join our faculty. The Art Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate visual arts instruction to students in grades Pre-K through 8. The successful candidate will foster creativity while integrating Catholic values and contributing to the spiritual and academic growth of students.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan and teach art lessons that reflect both the Archdiocesan curriculum and national standards for visual arts educationFoster a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and critical thinkingIntegrate Catholic values and teachings into art instruction when appropriateOrganize and display student artwork throughout the school and at school/parish eventsMaintain classroom materials, order supplies, and ensure safe use of art equipment and resourcesCollaborate with classroom teachers and school staff on cross-curricular or special projectsSupport school-wide liturgical, cultural, and community events through visual artsMaintain accurate student records and communicate progress to parents and administrationParticipate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school functions as requiredUphold and model the values of the Catholic faith in personal and professional interactionsJob RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus)Missouri Teaching Certification (Art K-12 preferred) or eligibility to obtain certificationPrevious teaching experience in a school setting, preferably Catholic or privatePracticing Catholic preferred; must support the mission of Catholic educationStrong classroom management, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to inspire and nurture creativity across a wide range of age groups and skill levelsCompliance with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program, including Protecting God’s Children training and background screeningThe Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
