Description: To provide students with an Art education and learning experiences that maximizes their intellectual, social and emotional development in the pursuit of learning the history of art.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards
2.Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students
3.Observe and evaluate students’ performance in a timely manner
4.Prepare lesson plans and course timelines
5.Demonstrate methods to studentsThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by employees assigned to this position and is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. • Letters of application
• Recommendations and/or references
• Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with elementary age children is preferred
• Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Elementary Teaching Certificate, which includes endorsement in Art
• The ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
• Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered
