Description: Job SummaryJOB SUMMARY:The Arts and Culture Internship presents an exciting opportunity for a high school or college student to contribute meaningfully to the programs, events and initiatives led by the Department of Arts and Culture. The position involves contributing to key programs and initiatives including the Art in City Hall program, the Cultural Asset Mapping and Public Art Database initiatives, and research on innovative programs and policies. The role provides needed support and learning opportunities for a new department in the City whose mission is to ensure arts and culture are accessible to all residents across the City of Frederick. The position reports to the Manager of Arts and Culture and interfaces daily with other City staff, supports interdepartmental collaboration and community engagement, and may require some evening and weekend work with advanced notice.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
