Growing together.The Client Services Director of Government Programs is responsible managing the UHC Dental and Vision portfolio of projects enabling client and business imperatives. Through a mix of both matrix partners and team members, the Director is responsible for Government Programs’ client service delivery, product performance and oversight for Dental and Vision. This position reports to the Senior Director, Client Services of Government Programs for Specialty Benefits and will be focused on the product portfolio of Medicare Advantage, Med Supp, Dual Special Needs Plans, Medicaid, Individual, and Group Retiree.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Business strategy:
  • Leads or partners on product innovation, capability, service, system enhancements, process decisions or business problems that impact multiple clients, functions or new business
  • Develop, grow and maintain solid relationships across business units, IT, compliance, provider networks, legal, Operations, Finance and Reporting
  • Maintain Operational support and Vendor management of current CRM system Salesforce that supports client issue management
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring project completion within documented scope, budget and timeframe
  • Lead cross-functional development of lessons learned with participation from Specialty Benefit Operations and other cross functional areas of the business. Communicate outcomes and recommendations to leadership and identify actionable changes
  • Business operations:
  • Reviews, creates or maintains oversight of client support workflows to ensure they’re up-to-date and operationally efficient. This includes streamlining reporting, SOP/P&P oversight and developing standardized reporting packages for new business
  • Develop solid understanding of internal and external facing platforms, including claims and eligibility capabilities. Support Account Management team to ensure end-user adoption and satisfaction of technology and data workflows
  • Manage the strategy for future eligibility and claims capabilities across multiple service platforms, Eligibility Streaming and Automation
  • Work with key stakeholders to analyze product performance to solve issues, improve efficiency and increase automation. Evolve the current suite of client and business reporting to influence opportunities for growth and operational efficiency across the Government Program’s portfolio of businesses
  • Client support:
  • Serve as the portfolio manager of all client and business projects in support of Government Programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders, including business units, IT, compliance, provider networks, legal, Operations, Finance and Reporting
  • Support benefit configuration, network alignment and operations service mapping
  • Provide proactive solutions to non-standard requests in partnership with the Client Support team
  • Support new client implementation where needed
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, executive briefings, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment and transparency of project status

  • 3+ years of healthcare benefit administration
  • 3+ years of project management and/or program management experience in complex and matrixed organizations
  • Experience in messaging, positioning, and presentation of critical information for all stakeholder groups
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to critically think through challenges in a highly matrixed environment
  • Proven ability to operate independently when next steps are ambiguous
  • Proven ability to manage a matrix of cross-function colleagues, skill sets, and competencies – intercompany agility
  • Proven ability to consistently exercise a strategic mindset
  • Proven ability to manage, execute and complete cross-functional projects
  • Proven ability to provide ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholder groups without authority
  • Proven technical acumen of healthcare benefits administration, eligibility, and payment systems
  • Proven ability to present to large audiences, including but not limited to Government Programs executives
  • Proven excellent communications and interpersonal skills (internal/external)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in government sponsored health care program administration
  • Experience in managing and administering ancillary health care benefits i.e. Dental and Vision
  • Project management experience

The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment.
