$100k-$115k (+BONUS)Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a full-time associate attorney with 2-4 years of experience in estate planning and/or elder law. This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional looking to grow their practice under the mentorship of experienced attorneys in a client-centered, team-oriented environment. The associate will design and implement estate and elder law plans, manage benefit applications, oversee support staff, and deliver high-quality service to clients.Job Responsibilities:

  • Design estate and asset protection strategies and collaborate with the managing partner to confirm plans.
  • Serve as the primary attorney contact for plan customization, retitling, and benefits application preparation and prosecution.
  • Supervise and coordinate the planning, application, estate/trust administration, and customer service teams.
  • Train and supervise legal assistants; coordinate hiring of paralegals.
  • Oversee department operations to meet business goals and staff development objectives.
  • Delegate effectively and manage time wisely in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Respond promptly to client, attorney, and team inquiries.
  • Assess prospective client needs and determine next steps.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to meet deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bar Admission: Virginia State Bar (required); Maryland and D.C. Bar (preferred)
  • Experience: 2-4 years in estate planning and/or elder law
  • Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage shifting schedules, and meet deadlines
