One of California’s premier public law firms is seeking a seasoned Appellate & Law and Motion Attorney to join their respected team. This firm exclusively represents public agencies—particularly law enforcement entities—and is known for its deep focus on police management defense.This is a meaningful opportunity for attorneys passionate about appellate practice, government litigation, and high-impact municipal work. You’ll work closely with law enforcement clients, crafting complex motions, writing persuasive appellate briefs, and defending public officials in civil rights and tort litigation. - Specialized Focus: Work on behalf of public safety officials and city agencies in civil rights, tort litigation, and appellate matters.
- Location Flexibility: Fully remote after a two-week onboarding period—but you must live within approximately 25 miles of the Fullerton office for occasional in-office needs.
- Impactful Work: Represent clients in appellate courts, draft amicus briefs, and contribute to high-stakes litigation that affects entire communities.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $165,000 – $180,000 annually

Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 3 years of appellate and law & motion experience
- Strong research, writing, and brief-drafting skills
- Experience representing municipalities or public agencies (preferred)
- Comfortable defending law enforcement and working closely with police management
- Resides within commuting distance of Fullerton, CA
- Willing to attend occasional city council meetings or client site visits
- Excellent communicator—both in court and with public sector clients
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
- Occasional after-hours meetings
- 1,800 billable hours annually
- Remote work with periodic on-site meetings (1–2x/month)
