Inspired people, amazing designs, and projects with purpose.Job DescriptionOlsson is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Coastal Scientist with expertise in coastal processes and numerical modeling. In this role, you will apply your skills to analyze, model, and design coastal and estuarine systems.You will also contribute to a variety of coastal and waterfront projects, developing innovative solutions to address the challenges of coastal dynamics and environmental issues. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing systems that protect and improve coastal environments, while carefully balancing human development with the preservation of natural ecosystems.The ideal candidate should have completed coursework or have exposure to one or more of the following areas: fluid dynamics, water wave mechanics, introduction to coastal engineering, coastal hydrodynamics, coastal processes, wetland and estuarine environments, coastal sediment transport, and numerical modeling. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of modeling platforms such as ADCIRC, SWAN, Delft3D, and Delft3D-FM.
