Description: ResponsibilitiesInvolved in preparation of various government reports and support their audits. The Corporate Senior Government Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for preparing and understanding the complexity of a cost report. The Corporate Senior Government Reimbursement Specialist fully understands how one section of the report is linked to another and be able to evaluate the accuracy of the entire report.QualificationsRequired qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 15 years in Government reimbursement and cost report preparation experience in a multi-hospital system.
  • Experience in preparing and completing entire Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for a multi-state hospital system and provide the support at audit
  • Knowledge of Medicare rules on Medicare DSH, Medicare bad debts, charity and hospital bad debts for S-10, Interns and Residents FTE counts, ESRD Add-on, Nurse Allied Health Education, Rural Health Clinic, Sole Community Hospital, Critical Access Hospital and Low Volume Adjustment. Apply the knowledge when preparing the cost report and its subsequent audit.
  • Experience working with Besler’s EZWP program, HFS, PS&R, 835 files, financial statement and patient account data.

Preferred qualifications: * Strong analytical skills and resourceful

  • Experience working with hospital GL and patient accounting systems (Lawson, EPIC, Meditech)
  • Strong communication skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $94,848.00 to $142,272.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
