Description: SUMMARY It is the responsibility of this position to assist the Deans of Students and the Director of Culture & Climate in maintaining a safe and secure campus and learning environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties and responsibilities may be assigned)Supervise students as requested (i.e. hallway, Commons, in-school suspension, study hall, etc.)Keep records as necessary (attendance, database, student work, Saturday in-school suspension, AM / PM student detentions, etc.)Assist in the facilitation of support services for students (i.e. in the Student Support Center, for problem solving teams, with CHS staff, with outside agencies, etc.)Assist supervisor in coordination of student tardy activity.Create an environment that promotes student responsibility.Instruct students on pro-social behaviors.Develop strategies for each student to effectively manage anger, conflict, and frustration.Coordinate to ensure that appropriate school materials are distributed to students in the In School Suspension (ISS) room.Work with truant students with relation to attendance issues.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneEDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or the equivalentExperience supervising youth, preferably high school-level students preferredSKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be able to perform all of the duties and responsibilities of the position.Ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, in English.Ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, in Spanish preferred.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external constituents.Ability to work independently, stay on task, multi-task, and take responsibility to complete assigned projects and duties in a timely and efficient manner.PAY TRANSPARENCY Pay scale and benefit information is available on our website .APPLICATION PROCESSInternal applicants should be sure to choose the Internal Applicants section.APPLICATION DEADLINE
