Description: Job Description :Viridian Staffing’s Client is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead brand and promotional strategies across their network of vertically integrated cannabis operations in Oregon. This is an exciting opportunity to take the reins of an established but rapidly growing portfolio of cannabis retail and product brands in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.This role reports directly to the CEO and will oversee 2 direct reports. However, this isn’t a purely administrative leadership position—we’re looking for someone who’s just as comfortable strategizing at a high level as they are rolling up their sleeves and diving into the creative process. You’ll manage monthly marketing budgets and timelines, drive the development and execution of advertising campaigns, and collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive brand messaging and promotional alignment. You’ll also be tasked with increasing traffic to the dispensary website, improving online order volume, and boosting in-store average order value through merchandising and monthly promotions.The ideal candidate will have a formal education in marketing, proven experience managing a team, and a deep understanding of both strategy and execution. You should be fluent in the technical aspects of campaign development and design, with solid project management skills and a detail-oriented mindset. Experience working with external advertising platforms, leading packaging initiatives, and developing assets alongside designers will serve you well in this dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a scrappy start-up culture, enjoys juggling multiple priorities, and is passionate about building something meaningful in the cannabis space. In order to work for a licensed cannabis company in the State of Oregon, you must have an OLCC marijuana worker permit and be at least 21 years of age. Position is located in downtown Portland with occasional travel to dispensaries.
