This position is responsible for recruiting undergraduate student applicants and will coordinate admissions and recruiting programs, and represent the school through travel opportunities and events.Your core responsibilities will include:Advises prospective students about the applications process and of the academic and extracurricular offerings of the School/College.Cultivates or manages relationships to facilitate or expand opportunities for interdisciplinary programs; external collaborations/partnerships, and education outreach.Recommends students for admission.Responds to routine and non-routine inquires from applicants concerning the application process, notification, financial aid information, visa requirements, conditions and program requirements.Works with Supervisor to develop and execute admissions/recruiting strategies and specific activities. Represents the School/College’s programs at recruitment events.Addresses large groups of prospective students and their parents concerning the merits of CMU.Advises prospective students about the applications process, including portfolio requirements, and of the academic and extracurricular offerings of the School/College.Coordinates admissions and recruiting for pre-college program. Trains, and supervises student tour guides.In coordination with the Committee Chair and Faculty Committee, determine which prospective students will be offered admission to CMU.Meets with prospective students and their parents at secondary schools and recruiting fairs throughout the country. Will be required to travel and stay overnight.Performs related duties and special projects as required.Prepares and submits weekly, monthly, and annual recruiting effort reports.Responds to routine and non-routine inquires from applicants concerning the application process, notification, financial aid information, visa requirements, conditions and program requirements.Works with Supervisor to develop and execute admissions/recruiting strategies and specific activities. Represents the School/College’s programs at recruitment events.In collaboration with the Communication Team, writes general promotional pieces, correspondence and other papers to support recruiting efforts.Other duties as assigned, Performs related duties and special projects as required.The ideal candidate for this position will be flexible, perceptive, discerning, and proactive with a high level of attention to detail.
