Description: Overview:Responsible for the overall Psychiatric Social Work function of the Department of Psychiatry. Responsibilities:-Has overall responsibility for Quality Social Work performance and maintenance of the professional Social Work standards, all programs in which Social Work staff function.-Responsible for direct supervision and evaluation of Clinical Supervisors and Social Work Supervisors.-Hires and fires Social Work staff.-Selects the supervisors for Social Work students; supervises the performance and termination of Social Work students.-Responsible for Social Work component, the departmental education program: e.g., medical students, residents, etc.-Represents the discipline of Social Work within and outside the department and hospital.-Maintains a liaison between the Director of Social Work of the Hospital, thereby enhancing the relationship between medical and psychiatric Social Work.-Responsible for the creation and formalization of programs with outside agencies and the community so as to better service the patient population.-Maintains responsibility for direct patient care as may be appropriate.-Participates in developing program policies and procedures for various services. Qualifications:LMSW requiredAt least eight (8) years experience as a Social Worker,At least four (4) of which have been in a supervisory and administrative capacity.

Salary: $114999.98 per year
