Description: JOB GOALS: The Elementary Math Intervention and Data Specialist provides math intervention by working directly with students, supports the collection and preparation of a variety of student learning data, facilitates the data PLC process, and assists staff in using data to improve student achievement.QUALIFICATIONS:Valid State of Arizona Teaching Certification.Meets all certification requirements for the grade level or subject area including proper teaching area endorsements.Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance CardFive (5) years of successful teaching experience preferredExperience in analyzing testing data preferred.TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 195 Days (10 Months)COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable positionBENEFITS: As per QCUSD District policyREPORTS TO: PrincipalHOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours – Monday-Friday CLASSIFICATION: ExemptPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:District-level Responsibilities:Maintain leadership and involvement within (DAC).Analyzes scores for School City benchmark tests, AASA, AZELLA etc.Lead and conduct data team meetings with administration and Teachers.Compile reports as needed and communicate strengths and needs to site and district-level personnel.Assists District level coordinators, directors, and Associate or Assistant Superintendents as needed.Attends curriculum or data meetings and training as needed.Assists with AASA, AzSCI, AZELLA, and other assessments before, during, and after testing. This will include events such as, but not limited to uploading student information, watching training videos, and coordinating with site technology person, principal, and district-level personnel for successful implementation of testing.School-level Responsibilities:Work directly with students providing math intervention.Use data from a variety of assessment measures to identify at-risk students in core content areasMaintain an in-depth knowledge of the AZ Math curriculum standards.Maintain an in-depth knowledge of AZ ELA curriculum standards.Analyze data to determine those students who need remediation, re-teaching or tutoring programs.Assist with remediation, re-teaching, or tutoring programs.Understand and lead PLC initiatives within the school.Assists with the GAG group responsibilities (i.e. coordination of test administration for School City benchmarks, AASA , AZELLA, etc)Attend regularly scheduled instructional team leader meetings and participate as a member of the team to promote learning activities for students consistent with district and school strategic objectives.Coordinate with the school principal and department chairs a schedule to accommodate identified students in the reteach and enrich system.Attend training sessions as the principal directsWork closely with teachers to coordinate efforts of the intervention program with the regular classroom to promote student success.Maintain required data on individual student progress and disseminate data to principal, teachers, and parents.Collaborates with the principal and assistant principal in all areas of testing.Provide technical support as needed by the building principal.Perform other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
