Description: Employment Law Attorney – Municipal & Workplace LitigationHybrid | 4+ Years of Experience | California Bar RequiredGPAC is partnering with a well-respected law firm seeking an Employment Law Attorney with municipal law experience to join their collaborative and collegial team. This position offers a stable work environment with long-term professional development opportunities.The role involves defending public and private sector clients in employment-related litigation and providing strategic legal counsel on workplace matters, including:

• Public sector employment disputes and municipal labor issues
• Workplace policies, including drug and alcohol regulations
• Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance
• Employee disciplinary actions and investigations
• Retaliation, whistleblower, and wrongful termination claims
• Harassment and discrimination defense

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of litigation, from case initiation to resolution
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage discovery
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials
• Provide counsel on employment law matters affecting municipalities and public agencies

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of employment law experience (municipal law experience required)
• Strong academic background and excellent legal writing skills
• At least two years of private law firm experience
• Demonstrated trial experience and/or trial preparation experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to diversity
• California Bar admission required
