  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation to employers and/or employees (specify if applicable, or “both”) on a wide range of employment law matters, including:
  • Wage and hour compliance (FLSA, Washington state law)
  • Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
  • Wrongful termination
  • Leave laws (FMLA, WA Paid Family and Medical Leave)
  • Employment agreements and restrictive covenants
  • Workplace investigations
  • ADA and other accommodation issues
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and state and federal court litigation.
  • Provide proactive advice and counsel to clients on best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver training and presentations on employment law topics.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in employment law at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and provide exceptional client service.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar in good standing.
  • 3 + years of relevant experience in employment law.
  • Strong understanding of federal and Washington state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively advocate for clients in various settings.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to professional excellence.
