Its goal is to increase operational efficiencies, whether directly related to insurance regulation or the management of the agency as a whole, and improve the quality and usefulness of data received by the OIR. The Analytics Unit members consult with other business units to determine functional needs and exercise discretion and judgment in determining the appropriate solutions and method ofimplementation.Uses economic theory and other quantitative techniques to gather insurance and other relevant data. And, in conjunction with Financial Administrator – SES develops solutions or alternative methods of achieving the Office’s regulatory goals. Use independent judgement to make functional decisions on tool development that impacts unit level operations across business units. This requires the use of experience, judgement, and the application of knowledge and education; specifically, that ofstatistics (or similar disciplines) which is a requirement for the position.Design and recommends change to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems and /orprocedures.
