Responsibilities:We are seeking an ICT Designer to support the design and documentation of telecommunication, security, audiovisual, cyber security, and wireless systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, coordinated design packages across all phases of a project’s lifecycle—from schematic design through construction administration. Page is a multidisciplinary design, architecture and engineering firm with 1,300+ talented staff and offices in the U.S. and abroad.   • Technical ICT Construction Documentation
  • Develop construction design documents for telecommunication, security, audiovisual, cyber security, and wireless systems under senior staff guidance.
  • Prepare drawings and specifications that align with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Design Phases & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate and produce designs at each stage:
  • Schematic Design: Initial layout and high-level system coordination.
  • Design Development: Detailed calculations, system configuration, and formal specifications.
  • Construction Documents: Final, detailed drawings and plans.
  • Construction Administration: Manage submittals, RFIs, bulletins, and on-site reviews.
  • Communicate design requirements clearly with project managers, architects, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) disciplines.
  • BIM and Related Software
  • Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit, CAD, RF Tools, Ideate, and Bluebeam Revu to create, update, and review design models.
  • Perform clash detection with Navisworks in conjunction with the project BIM team.
  • Construction Administration
  • Conduct field surveys, commissioning, and punch walks to ensure completed work meets design intent and quality standards.
  • Review contractor submittals—including cut sheets, shop drawings, and product specifications—to confirm compliance with contract documents.
  • Design Coordination & Documentation
  • Create and maintain design narratives and project specifications in coordination with the contractor and client.
  • Lead and document design meetings with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Multi-Project Support
  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery of quality design packages at each project phase.
  • Maintain advanced proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, PDF editing tools, Windows Explorer) to facilitate effective communication and document management.
  • Project Delivery Methods
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Design-Bid and Design-Build processes and how they impact project requirements and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience
  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering Technology program, OR
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant Information and Communications Technology (ICT) experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Experience
  • At least one (1) year of experience installing, maintaining, or designing ICT systems (telecom, security, audiovisual, cyber security, wireless).
  • Basic understanding of inside-plant (ISP) and outside-plant (OSP) telecommunications design, including pathway infrastructure, equipment rooms, cabling standards, and current technology.
  • Design & Coordination
  • Proven ability to coordinate design activities and develop contract documents.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
  • Certifications (Preferred)
  • BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer)
  • AVIXA CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist – Design)
  • ASIS PSP (Physical Security Professional)
  • DoD Cyber Security certifications
  • Other
  • Willingness to travel (<5%) for cross-office collaboration and on-site client engagements.
