Description: General Description: The IT, arts and communication instructor at Miamisburg City Schools will provide instructional activities which are consistent with the objectives of the IT portion of the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum and the MVCTC in general. The instructor will utilize the PLTW curriculum to provide students with instruction related to the information technology career field. The instructor will also teach students about media and develop a daily announcements news show. The IT, arts and communication instructor will report to the satellite supervisor.Qualifications: * Must meet all the requirements governing teacher education and licensure in an area licensed to teach the course, attend the Summer 2025 PLTW training after accepting an offer of employment from the District, and attend other required PLTW trainings in future summers. Acceptable licensure for this position includes, but is not limited to, 7-12 Math, 7-12 Science, Information Technology, and Graphic Occupations.

• Must possess interest in young people.
• Possess good knowledge of software, including but not limited to the Adobe Suite.
• Possess good knowledge of Apple computers, and video/photography equipment.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned.
• Ability to move about in classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students.
• Ability to make home and work site visits to monitor the student or confer with the employer as required.
