HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE THE OFFICE IS MOVING TO IRVINE, CA IN OCTOBER & ONSITE AT THE NEW LOCATION WOULD BE ESSENTIAL.KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Jr Corporate Counsel: contract law knowledge w/ no more than 2 years of exp (internship exp welcome)We are currently seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its legal team to provide support for a wide variety of financial and commercial matters relevant to Insight’s business. The Corporate Counsel will be primarily responsible for handling a wide array of financial transactions and working closely with Insight’s sales, credit, executive and contracts teams. This position will report directly to the General Counsel.The ideal candidate will have a desire and willingness to learn to thrive in a fast-paced, sales-oriented and team-driven working environment. This candidate must possess the relevant experience with contracts. Experience with equipment financing or leasing is just a nice to have.Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of equipment financing and secured financial transactions, including collateralized asset-based lending secured by equipment, titled vehicles and other assets.
  • Managing all aspects of financing transactions and ‘driving’ deals to close in a faced-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Handling all aspects of legal due diligence, advising on deal structure and determining and counseling Insight’s credit and executive teams on risk.
  • Engaging and managing outside counsel in connection with any company litigation.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating other commercial contracts including NDA’s, vendor agreements and any other agreements relating to Insight’s business.
  • Developing and maintaining expert knowledge on recent developments and legal issues relevant to Insight.
  • Developing, improving and maintaining Insight’s forms and templates.
  • Counseling and educating executives, sales and operations teams in connection with contract terms, commercial implications and legal risks.

Job RequirementsQualifications / Education

  • JD from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Licensed attorney in the State of California or another jurisdiction.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience that includes knowledge of contract laws &/or equipment leasing or financing.
  • Internship experience is welcome towards the overall experience requirements.
  • Knowledge of Article 9 is a plus
  • Any knowledge of Article 2A and equipment leasing/financing a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure in a dynamic and fluid environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Any bankruptcy knowledge a plus.
  • Insight’s clients and vendor partners are typically larger organizations and the individual filling this role will need to be comfortable with and capable of effectively working with such counterparties.

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $100-135KABOUT KORE1

Salary: $100000 – 135000 per year
