This role involves coding, testing, debugging, desktop design, integration with standard software packages, and implementing security measures. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of business applications and technical requirements and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with technical staff and end users to resolve software issues and improve product performance.

  • Develop, code, test, and debug new software applications or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Analyze and interpret user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements for business applications.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to diagnose and resolve software-related issues.
  • Address customer complaints, troubleshoot problems, and respond to suggestions for software improvements and enhancements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of software user manuals and technical documentation.
  • Take responsibility for desktop design, integration with standard software packages, and implementation of security lockdowns.
  • Integrate solutions with automated patching and software deployment technologies.
  • Automate application and configuration deployments and updates to streamline release management.
  • Support the training of end users as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in software development with skills in coding, testing, and debugging applications (audio/visual or business applications preferred).
  • Basic understanding of business application requirements and desktop operating systems.
  • Familiarity with software security best practices and integration of standard software packages.
  • Exposure to or strong interest in audio/visual technologies or related development solutions is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
  • Experience assisting with technical documentation and/or user training preferred.
  • Customer service oriented, with sensitivity to user feedback and suggestions.
  • High adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Basic understanding of security practices in software and desktop environments.
