Description: Job Description:The Lead Government Programs Manager (LGPM) will be responsible for developing and maintaining a corporate compliance program that ensures compliance with all applicable legal and contractual requirements from our Government partner customers. The LGPM will need to possess strong communication and project management skills to cultivate compliance standards across the Company’s business units, functional teams and manufacturing operations. The LGPM will also act as the Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) and will be responsible for: ensuring compliance with security regulations, maintaining facility security standards, and handling classified information. The LGPM must have, or be willing and able to obtain, a Secret level clearance issued by the U.S. Department of Defense.Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain crucial components of the Company’s corporate compliance program across the organization. Drive compliance with applicable federal, state, agency, legal, regulatory and Corporate Policy requirements in an effort to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as with requirements from the Company’s Government partner customers.
- Maintain compliance risk expertise and consult on projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk, over multiple business lines and functional groups. Maintain a general working knowledge of ITAR and export control requirements.
- Act as the Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO), managing facility security programs in compliance with federal requirements.
- Oversee and maintain the organization’s compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Handle classified information and ensure its security in compliance with U.S. Department of Defense regulations.
- Drive the development and implementation of compliance programs related to international tariffs, ensuring adherence to global trade regulations and minimizing potential risks.
- Develop, oversee, and provide independent perspective (with subject matter expertise) on Company standards and policies.
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing corrective action plans and effectively managing regulatory change.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers in an effort to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Monitor the reporting, escalation and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies, or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management.
- Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives.
- Provide oversight and monitoring of the Company’s risk-based global compliance programs.
- Drive cross-functional communication across the Company to ensure compliance.
- Provide regular reports on the operation, efficacy and progress of compliance efforts.
- Provide technical and regulatory guidance to all departments on compliance matters to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
- Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.
- Provide advisory support on compliance issues during business transactions and projects.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure cohesive compliance strategies.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in compliance management, preferably in government-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, government procurement laws, and facility security requirements. Knowledge of ITAR and export control requirements is a plus.
- Secret clearance (or willingness and ability to obtain one) issued by the U.S. Department of Defense.
- Proven experience with facility security programs and handling classified information.
- Strong technology skills
- Strong program management skills including the ability to administer complex projects from inception to implementation.
- Ability to quickly learn business processes, including Compliance policies and procedures.
- High degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight.
