Description: We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization: SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview: We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Government Affairs Manager to serve as the main liaison between our company and local and regional government agencies. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key local agency officials and other stakeholders, attending local agency meetings and ensuring that Sutter Health’s goals and community needs are addressed. The candidate selected for this role will live in the Central Valley and will occasionally come on site for meetings. The ideal candidate will have known relationships with elected and appointed city and county officials in the area.Key Responsibilities:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor’s: Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, or related fieldTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:8 years recent relevant experienceSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Working knowledge of the strategic planning process.Demonstrated knowledge of working with volunteer community groups.Significant understanding of community-based organizations, local and statewide foundations, and government agencies.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.Make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.Negotiate or exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.Job Shift: DaysSchedule: Full TimeDays of the Week: Monday – FridayWeekend Requirements: As NeededBenefits: YesUnions: NoPosition Status: ExemptWeekly Hours: 40Employee Status: RegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $53.60 to $80.39 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
