Description: UPMC Corporate is seeking a Marketing Communications Intern to join our team at the US Steel Tower. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with two office days per week from Monday to Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Working under the director’s guidance, you will be involved in diverse projects aimed at delivering communications to both internal and external audiences, aligning with UPMC’s mission. • Serve as marketing communications liaison to management staff and medical staff of clinical and nonclinical programs, providing consultation and strategic communications planning where appropriate.
• Manage communications projects of varying levels of complexity and sophistication as assigned. Complete projects on strategy, on time, and within budget, as applicable.
• Continuously refine and maintain the processes used by the department and external vendors.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects appropriately.
• Demonstrate service-oriented behavior in interactions with clients and coworkers.
• Performs in accordance with system-wise competencies/behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Junior or Senior in college pursuing bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, health sciences, or a related field.
• Must have knowledge of traditional and digital marketing best practices, excellent communication, multitasking, organizational, research/interviewing, writing, grammar, and interpersonal skills.
