Description: This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) – Office of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services. The position is based at the Edgefield Mental Health Clinic, 200 Ridge Medical Plaza, Edgefield, SC and will provide services to both Edgefield and McCormick County Sheriff’s Departments and other law enforcement entities within these two counties.The Office of Mental Health’s mission is to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses. We provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina. As the Law Enforcement Mental Health Professional, you will provide community-based clinical assessments and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults, and families who have interacted with local law enforcement agencies. You will provide services to children, adults, and families who have witnessed or experienced violence or trauma and will assess for other mental health needs. Minimal in-state travel and the ability to provide disaster response interventions locally and to deploy statewide as needed is required.Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional:
