Description: This is an anticipated full-time professional (teacher’s contract) PASD position which will begin August 2025.Job Overview:
A successful candidate will be able to provide instuction in middle school subject areas in a learning support classroom.Job Overview:
The successful candidate will instruct students in multi-grade levels in accordance with the goals and specifically designed instruction outlined within each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP.) Responsibilities include providing small group in English and/or math (potentially co-teaching) and small group instruction. Knowledge of specially designed instruction, the MDE process, facilitation of IEP meetings, proficiency in using Common Core Standards, behavioral supports, and differentiation of instruction is required. Supervision of students at arrival, dismissal, and lunch may be required along with other duties as assigned by the building principal.Qualifications:

• Instructional I/II Special Education PK-8 (9226), PA Instructional I/II Special Education PK-12 (9225) Certificate, PA Instructional I/II Special Education N-12 Certificate, Instructional I/II Mental and/or Physically Handicapped K-12 (9235), Instructional I/II Mentally Retarded K-12, Instructional I/II Socially and Emotionally Disturbed K-12, or Instructional I/II Emotional Disturbed K-12 certificate preferred.
• Any PA Instructional I/II certification is required.
• Experience working with high school students is preferred.
• Proficiency in online platforms (e.g. Schoology, Google Classroom) preferred.
• Must have proven adaptability, flexibility, and understanding that enrollments do change throughout the year.
• Must be able to actively participate in our 7th grade Outdoor Education Program in May.
